Our wonderful school therapy dog (#ADNI) in training , Scooby, has been working hard! As part of his training, Scooby needs to be socialised in public places. Fully trained therapy dogs are permitted to accompany their handlers into public spaces as working dogs, so it’s important that Scooby learns to remain calm, focused, and confident in different environments.
During his training sessions, Scooby practises calmly accompanying his handler and staying focused on his work—even when exciting things like dog treats are nearby! He trains regularly and has already had many lovely, welcoming experiences within our local school community.
