Primary 1/2 have been busy building their maths skills! We explored creating sets of numbers using a variety of materials, including shells, loose parts, counters and Numicon. We practised adding different sets together and used our Numicon shapes to write number sentences, helping us make sense of our learning in a hands-on way. We worked cooperatively and confidently, guided by our brilliant maths mentors, who were always on hand to support, encourage and challenge our thinking.
