How wonderful our Primary Seven’s Leaver’s Celebration was! The children had the best of last days with us! A fun extended break, a last minute rehearsal, Dympna the cook kindly sent us some snacks and then to the hall where our families and friends were waiting. We clapped the P7s in as they made a spectacular entrance with their Big Hello with friends. We listened to words of thanks from Ms Farley and an inspiring address from Councillor Sarah Duffy, a past pupil who is now proudly serving her community. Thank you so much for coming to be with us . Ms Duffy also made a generous donation to school funds from the Mayoral Fund .Our treasured coach Duffy from Pearse Ogs presented Sports certificates and medals to the pupils for both participation and achievement. The children led us in prayer and the Pupil Leadership Team made the Vote of Thanks on behalf of all P7s . Thank you to them all for the service this year and to Ivet and Nick who wrote the speech. We heard some songs and wonderful soloists and after the presentation of Confirmation Certicates, Fr Emmanuel blessed and presented a St Benedict’s Cross and prayer Book to each P7. Our P7s presented staff and guests with thank you gifts and bouquets. Father Emmanuel then surprised us with a delightful rendition of Hail Mary, Gentle Woman on his saxophone ! P7 concluded their fun day by signing each others shirts and enjoying a Pizza Party while parents had a cup of tea. And then the Guard of Honour!!
