This week for our Roots of Empathy family visit we explored milestones. We celebrating the amazing ways babies grow and learn. Our class was especially excited to welcome baby Mollie back. She filled the room with smiles and made us all incredibly proud by showing us some of her newest achievements. Mollie demonstrated how she can now sit up on her own and even roll over, giving everyone the chance to see these important milestones in action. Watching her determination and confidence grow reminded us how much learning happens in a baby’s first year.
Mollie also returned recently from a very exciting trip to Australia. She had a wonderful time exploring a completely new environment and using her senses to experience a different climate. During her travels, she observed fascinating animals such as koalas and kangaroos, and even had the opportunity to visit the Sydney Opera House. Hearing about her adventures helped us think about how babies learn through seeing, hearing, touching, and experiencing the world around them.
To finish our visit, we measured Mollie again and were amazed to see just how much she has grown. Soon she will need a bigger tiny teacher t-shirt! It was incredible for the children to see how quickly babies develop and change, reinforcing how milestones are a special part of growing up. The children love having her visit us and we all felt the magic of her presence making it a very special experience for us all. 💕
