Month of May Assembly & Rosary at the Grotto πŸŒΈπŸ™

10th May 2026
On Friday, our Primary 5 class led a beautiful and prayerful assembly for parents and the school community to celebrate Mary’s Month. The children worked incredibly hard to prepare readings, prayers, hymns and reflections all centred around the importance of Mary in our faith.
The assembly reminded us why May is dedicated to Our Lady and encouraged everyone to follow Mary’s example of kindness, love and trust in God. The children spoke confidently and respectfully throughout, making everyone in attendance very proud. Their singing and thoughtful prayers created a lovely atmosphere of reflection and celebration.
Following the assembly, the whole school came together for a special walk to Our Lady’s Grotto. Along the way, pupils carried flowers to honour Mary and enjoyed spending time together in prayer as a school family. Once gathered at the grotto, each class took part in praying the Rosary, offering intentions for our families, school and wider community.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to reflect on the importance of prayer and to take part in a long-standing tradition during the Month of May. The peaceful setting of the grotto made the experience even more special and helped everyone feel calm and connected in faith.
A huge well done to our Primary 5 pupils for leading such a meaningful assembly and thank you to all of the parents who joined us to celebrate Mary’s Month with our school community. 🌷
