P.5 had a wonderful school to the Palace Stables for the Apple Week Programme on National Apple Day! We learned that there are around 7500 different types of apples in the world, and we got to see 13 different kinds of apples on display. We travelled back in time to 1786 to find out how apples were used in the past. We went on the whole apple journey from seed to mouth learning about all the different jobs that help the journey like farmers, lorry drivers and supermarket workers.
