Fire fighter comes to school to talk about his career and is inspirational…
Recently, our P7 pupils welcomed Killy Mc Brien a local fire-fighter to school for an informative and engaging visit. The pupils had the opportunity to learn about the important role firefighters play in keeping our communities safe, as well as the skills and training required for the job.

During the session, Killy showed the children his firefighting uniform and helmet, explaining how each piece of equipment helps protect firefighters in emergency situations. The pupils were fascinated to see the specialised clothing up close and enjoyed asking questions about life in the fire service.
This hands-on experience provided a valuable learning opportunity and helped develop the pupils’ understanding of fire safety, community service, and the responsibilities of emergency responders. We would like to thank Killy for taking the time to inspire the children and for talking to them about school attendance and the benefits of working hard at school.
