World Autism Awareness Day💙

3rd Apr 2025
On the 2nd April, World Autism Awareness Day, our school came together to celebrate and learn more about autism, embracing the strengths and differences of those with autism. Paddington, our Rights Respecting school mascot, shared a special message encouraging everyone to celebrate the day by learning more and asking questions about autism.

To inspire meaningful discussions, each class received a balloon as a stimulus and every child was treated to a blue ice pop in honor of 'GO BLUE APRIL 2' for Autism Awareness Day 2025.

The children in The Den added their unique blue-themed touch to the day. They incorporated extra blue elements into their uniforms and enjoyed blue-themed snack time. Activities like number formation also followed the blue theme, along with the delightful treat of blue ice pops.

Each child in The Den was gifted a blue balloon and bubbles to acknowledge their wonderfulness.

The celebration culminated with visits from mainstream classes. Students from P6 and P7 had the opportunity to explore The Den, learning about how the children there play, learn, and showcase their special talents. It was a beautiful day of sharing, understanding, and community spirit, making Autism Awareness Day truly memorable.
