World War 2 Anderson Shelters
26th Jan 2022
Primary 7 have been learning all about World War 2 for their new World Around Us topic. They were set a challenge in class to create an Anderson Shelter using recyclable materials. Many of the boys and girls were very creative using icing, bamboo sticks, tea bags, wood and moss. Anderson shelters were used by people to take cover during a blitz. These shelters were half buried in the ground with earth heaped on top to protect them from bomb blasts.
They are proudly on display in the KS2 corridor and I think you'll all agree they are simply fantiastic!! Well done everyone!
